The Khartoum Resolutions, 1967

After the Israeli victory in the Six Day War the fourth Arab League summit conference in Khartoum, Sudan, adopted the "Three No's":

  • No Peace with Israel.
  • No Recognition of Israel.
  • No Negotiations with Israel.

The chief consequence of the Khartoum Resolutions was to encourage hard-line Israelis to establish settlements in the occupied territories.
Egypt broke the taboo on negotiations in 1977. They were finally abandoned in the Arab Peace Initiative, 2002.
