Yitzhak Rabin - Warrior turned Peacemaker


“We who have fought against you, the Palestinians, we say to you today, in a loud and clear voice, enough of blood and tears…enough!”

Yitzhak Rabin was Chief of Staff in the Israeli army in the Six Day War.

He became Prime Minister in 1992 and helped to negotiate the Oslo Accords which, in 1993, granted recognition to the PLO.

In 1994, Rabin, Arafat and Peres were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

In 1995 President Rabin the peacemaker was assassinated.
