European Council on Foreign Relations

The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) describes itself as a charity. It is funded by a number of donors including George Soros' Open Society Foundations. It should not be confused with the European Council, the Council of Europe, the Council of the European Union or the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The ECFR acts as an independent international think-tank generating research and publications and promoting a pan-European approach to EU foreign policies.
