Iran - Israeli Anxieties

There can be no stable peace between Israel and her neighbours while Israelis feel militarily threatened. A key factor is their confidence that, within the Middle East, they and only they have nuclear weapons.

Israeli anxiety about the Iranian nuclear programme is far stronger than their fear of an independent Palestine. Israel is also aware that Iran has supplied rockets and other weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Netanyahu has threatened force to prevent the production of Iranian nuclear weapons: "I won't wait until it's too late".
If Israel attacks Iran it is certain that Gaza, the West Bank and Hezbollah will erupt. So if Israeli envisages a possible pre-emptive strike against Iran, it would be prudent to make peace with Palestine in advance.
Note the possibility of a nuclear-free zone in the Middle East.
Consider the interim Geneva accord, other Israeli anxieties, and options for reducing tension.
