Jewish tradition locates on the Temple Mount the Binding of Isaac, Jacob's Dream, Solomon's Temble and the Second Temple. It is also the site of the expected Third Temple to be rebuilt when the Messiah comes. Before its destruction the Temple was the focus of Jewish observance. For Jews it remains the holiest place on Earth.
According to some authorities Jews should not visit the Temple Mount for fear of entering the Holy of Holies where God was present with the Hugh Priest.
Some Jews are already preparing candlesticks and other ritual furnishings in preparation for the time when sacrifices can be resumed in the Temple. Naturally this prospect alarms Muslims whose places of worship now occupy the Temple Mount.
