The following proposals have been put forward towards ending the blockade of Gaza - -
Encourage Israel to permit free access of goods into and out of Gaza, giving priority to humanitarian and reconstruction materials; with internationally monitored customs provision to prevent arms imports.

Encourage Israel to permit free movement for civilians in and out of Gaza.

Encourage Israel to relax restrictions on Palestinian fishing, reverting to the limit of 20 nautical miles agreed in Oslo in 1993.

Encourage Israel to allow a seaport and an airport,possibly run by the UN, to be opened in Gaza.

Enable a physical link between Gaza and the West Bank.

Encourage Egypt to reopen the Rafah Crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Encourage the formation of a Palestinian Unity Government embracing both Fatah and Hamas.

Press for an end to rocket and mortar attacks, and hidden tunnelling, from Gaza.

Permit Palestinians to develop their off-shore gas fields.
